An ergonomic study on the optimal gear ratio for a multi-speed bicycle
A bicycle's gear system is frequently designed without ergonomic expertise in terms of performance and efficiency. This study provides guidelines, design specifications, and performance measures to design an efficient bicycle gear system. This study also contributes valuable finding regarding the optimal performance during bicycle riding, thereby facilitating the efficiency and effectiveness of human exercise using a bicycle.
